I read something i loved today.
I thought I’d share my thoughts.
I read about how a young boy witnessed his dog being put down.
Everyone was sad and they said dogs are gone too soon.
The boy replied saying he thought life was about learning to love yourself and others. And that dogs already do those things without having to learn so that’s why they don’t live as long.
I want to be like a dog.
I want to be happy and excited every time my husband walks through the door.
I want to walk more, and not just walk run to the park.
I want to play more, without abandonment.
I want to enjoy fresh air, breathe it in, let my hair go as it blows around me.
I want to bathe in the sun (I’ll use sunscreen though), soak in every last ray I can.
I want to nap with my boys, rest when I need to.
I want to do these things without thinking about it.
I want to keep opening my heart to others and the love they have to share.
I want to be just like my Scout dog. Sweet, vibrant, and content.
